Patoranking marks 10 years in music today as the Nigerian singer headlines a special Trace Live concert at Terra Kulture Arena, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The celebration, organised by Trace in partnership with Bolanle Austen-Peters Productions, is built around the theme “God Over Everything”, the title of Patoranking’s 2016 debut album and a phrase that has remained closely connected to his musical journey.
The concert comes as the singer reflects on a decade that has taken him from his early days in Lagos to international recognition as one of Nigeria’s prominent reggae-dancehall and Afrobeats voices.
Patoranking’s 10-Year Music Milestone
Patoranking, whose real name is Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, has spent the past decade building a career around reggae, dancehall and Afrobeats influences.
His rise to national attention became more noticeable after the release of “Alubarika” in 2013. The song became an important turning point for the singer and helped establish the sound and identity that would later define much of his career.
Over the years, Patoranking has released songs that have connected strongly with Nigerian and international audiences, including “Girlie O”, “My Woman, My Everything” and “No Kissing Baby”.
His career has also included major collaborations and performances, helping him expand beyond Nigeria and establish a wider audience.
