Olabanji Pelumi Yusuf, professionally known as DJ Capitee, or D’Captain of all DJs, is a Nigerian disc jockey, record producer, creative artist, radio personality, and event curator whose journey has been shaped by passion, persistence, creativity, and a deep belief in the power of entertainment.
Before D’Captain became a name people recognised, there was simply a young creative who loved music, drawing, and creating things. His interest in music gradually became stronger, and what started as a passion eventually grew into a dream of building a career around entertainment.

Through his work with 104.DCFM, he has explored another side of the entertainment industry, creating platforms for music, upcoming artists, DJs, and conversations around entertainment.
Radio has given him another way to connect with audiences while also creating space for other creatives to be heard.
That part of his work reflects an important aspect of his vision. D’Captain does not want his journey to be solely about himself. He wants to create opportunities for other young people who are also trying to find their place in the creative industry.
Still Building
From making his early mixes and artworks to performing, working in radio, curating events, and developing the D’Captain brand, Olabanji Pelumi Yusuf’s journey is still unfolding.
