Nollywood continues to demonstrate its growing box-office strength in 2026, with audiences turning out in impressive numbers for romantic comedies, family dramas, historical epics, and faith-based productions.

From heartwarming love stories to films rooted in Nigerian history and culture, several productions have enjoyed remarkable commercial success across cinemas nationwide.

Here is a look at the 10 highest-grossing Nollywood films of 2026 and the impressive box-office figures they have generated.

1. Call of My Life – ₦574 Million

Topping the list is Call of My Life, a romantic comedy that has become the highest-grossing Nollywood film of the year so far.

The movie tells the story of Soluchi, whose life takes an unexpected turn after a painful breakup. What begins as an ordinary customer service call eventually introduces her to a stranger who helps her rediscover love and happiness.

Its relatable storyline, strong performances, and effective marketing campaign helped it attract audiences across the country, resulting in a remarkable ₦574 million box-office haul.

Serving as a sequel to the 2013 classic Arinzo, the film follows a rising actor who returns home with his fiancée to support his father’s presidential ambitions. However, old secrets and a scandal buried for nearly two decades threaten to destroy everything.

The combination of nostalgia, political intrigue, and family drama helped the movie earn more than ₦351 million.

The strong performance of these titles also highlights the growing commercial potential of Nollywood as filmmakers continue to invest in quality storytelling and larger-scale productions.

With several major releases still expected before the end of the year, industry observers believe Nollywood could be on course for one of its strongest box-office years yet.
