After 32 days of sun, drama, recouplings, and real talk in the Fiji villa, Love Island USA Season 8 has its winning couple. Trinity Tatum and Bryce Alakai Dettloff, affectionately known to fans as “Brinity,” topped the public vote and were crowned winners of the Peacock reality hit during Sunday’s live finale on July 12, 2026.
The couple walked away with the $100,000 prize and, more importantly, America’s vote of confidence as the season’s most authentic love story.
From Day One to Final Night
Trinity, 22, from Newport News, Virginia, and Bryce, 29, from Los Angeles with Hawaiian roots, hit it off immediately. They coupled up in the very first episode when the show premiered on June 2, and became the villa’s first official boyfriend-girlfriend pair.
While other islanders cycled through connections and bombshells, Brinity stayed steady. They chose each other time and time again during recouplings, even surviving the infamous Casa Amor twist where original couples were separated and tested with new singles. It was after that mid-season challenge that they confessed their true feelings for each other.
On their final date in Fiji, the pair exchanged “I love yous” for the first time on camera. Bryce later told Trinity, “I do love you so much. Every day feels so special with you, and I can’t wait for life outside of this”. Trinity, emotional, said she was “grateful that he chose me to be his partner, inside of here and outside”.
Their connection resonated far beyond the villa walls. The couple were overwhelming favorites with bettors, holding 94% odds of winning via Kalshi and reportedly 96-97% odds on other betting markets.
The Finale and Final Four
Hosted by Ariana Madix, the Season 8 finale aired live on Peacock. Four couples made it to the end: Trinity and Bryce, Aniya Harvey and Carl Schmidt, Melanie Moreno and Sincere Rhea, and Kayda Bosse and Zach Georgiou.
When the votes were revealed, confetti fell as Trinity and Bryce were announced as winners. They hugged and kissed as fireworks went off and fellow islanders applauded.
Aniya and Carl finished as runners-up, Melanie and Sincere took third, and Kayda and Zach placed fourth.
All four couples capped the season with the traditional fully-clothed jump into the pool.
The $100,000 prize is split between the winners, meaning Trinity and Bryce each take home $50,000 before taxes.

Season 8 was described as featuring “fewer romances and more friendships, err, situationships, than ever before”.
Across 35 episodes and 34 contestants, viewers watched challenges, celebrity shoutouts, and emotional family messages.
The finale even included surprise video messages from celebrity fans like Lizzo, Demi Lovato, Ciara, Kesha, and Druski, plus heartfelt notes from islanders’ families. Bryce’s brother called Trinity the “ultimate prize”, while Trinity’s sister dubbed “Brinity” her winners.
Both winners credit their bond to shared values. They opened up about being raised by hardworking single moms, which Bryce said gave them similar perspectives. Trinity praised Bryce for his patience: “You’ve never once invalidated my feelings. I honestly feel like you’ve done everything right”.
The story doesn’t end in Fiji. A Love Island USA Season 8 reunion special is set to air on Monday, August 31 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET on Peacock. It will be hosted by Ariana Madix and Andy Cohen and is expected to give updates on where all the couples stand after leaving the villa.
For now, Trinity and Bryce are focused on navigating “the real world” together. Trinity said she’s “just so overwhelmed” but grateful, while Bryce called the win “like I’m in a dream right now”.
