TikToker Immunizer, whose real name is Habeeb Adeleke, was arraigned in a Lagos court on Thursday over allegations connected to the late singer Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi Aloba. The case adds a fresh layer of controversy to the already troubled aftermath of the late artist’s death.

Immunizer appeared before an Ebute-Metta chief magistrate’s court to face charges prosecutors say relate to his conduct toward Wunmi. The exact charges were not made available to journalists at the time of filing, but a court official confirmed the arraignment took place and that the matter was formally entered into the court’s docket.
The TikToker had been circulating videos online in which he made claims about Wunmi and her relationship with Mohbad before the singer’s death in September 2023. Those videos drew significant public attention and sparked sharp reactions across social media platforms.
The immunizer was subsequently taken into custody by the Nigeria Police Force ahead of the arraignment. The police did not immediately issue a formal statement confirming the charges, but multiple court sources confirmed his appearance before the magistrate.
Wunmi Aloba’s legal representatives were present in court. A lawyer linked to the complainant’s side confirmed the case had been formally initiated but declined to provide further details, citing the ongoing legal proceedings.
The magistrate granted Immunizer bail after his arraignment, according to a court official who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief the press. The bail conditions were not disclosed.
Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Oladapo Aloba, was 27 years old when he died on September 12, 2023. His death did not pass quietly. Within days, fans, civil society groups, and government officials were demanding answers, and the pressure did not let up for months.
The Lagos State Government ordered a coroner’s inquest into the circumstances of his death. The inquest has been ongoing, with witnesses, doctors, and associates of the late singer called to testify. The findings from that inquest have not yet been formally released.
Wunmi became a central figure in the public conversation following Mohbad’s death. She gave media interviews and participated in the inquest proceedings. Several online commentators, including Immunizer, made videos that raised questions about her account of events surrounding her husband’s final days.
Her legal team moved to have some of those individuals held accountable. Immunizer’s arraignment appears to be a direct result of that legal push.
This is not the first time a social media personality has faced legal consequences in connection with the Mohbad controversy. The case has become a flashpoint in broader debates about the limits of online commentary, defamation, and the responsibilities of content creators on platforms like TikTok.
Immunizer had amassed a following on TikTok largely through commentary on celebrity and entertainment issues. His videos on Wunmi and Mohbad attracted millions of views before the legal action was initiated.
The next court date was not immediately confirmed to journalists present at the Thursday sitting. The magistrate is expected to set a hearing date once all preliminary filings are completed.
Police sources did not confirm whether any other social media personalities linked to similar content about Wunmi face charges. Inquiries sent to the Lagos State Police Command’s public relations office had not been answered as of press time.
The Mohbad case continues to move through multiple legal channels simultaneously, with the coroner’s inquest, a separate police investigation, and now this criminal complaint all running in parallel. Developments are expected in the weeks ahead as courts resume from their recess period.
