On X (twitter) many Videos show a chaotic scene of locals blocking the bandits’ bikes, though weapons and suspect numbers—from a few to 24—remain unconfirmed in the footage. The group was handed to Amotekun, but police and Amotekun have not yet commented. The incident highlights growing community resistance to banditry in southwest Nigeria, where frustrations with kidnappings and past leniency fuel calls for stronger local action.

Many of the youths in ondo state had also speak about the current dominance of fulani in Akunu Akoko a very small town in ondo state, which they said their land are most likely hijacked by the same banditry who claimed to be hunters operating in that area.
