Former Nigerian governor and 2023 presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi was in Strasbourg for a political conference meeting where he told Members of the European Parliament that Africa is the last frontier of global development, rich in resources, land, and young people yet plagued by mass poverty.
Peter Obi also inform the Eu that Nigeria’s enormous growth potential, noting its 240 million people outnumber the EU’s 450 million but with per capita income just 2.5% of Europe’s, blaming poor leadership for corruption, insecurity, and neglected services.
He called for every member in the European Parliament to come in and help support competent governance in Nigeria, highlighting that it wont only benefit us Africa alone but mutual benefits if Africa thrives or dire consequences if it falters, sparking widespread praise for his clarity alongside some criticism and some of his ideas.
The outcome of the event made many of Obi’s supporter to keep believing in him and also vow to support him until his victory come 2027. Among them is Mr Tubo Bams a popular political Analyst who tweeted on his X page by saying ” Imagine for a second having a President who executes perfectly such as this; frankly speaking, watching this gave me goosebumps:

The Peter Obi European Parliament meeting looks like a big deal to many Nigerians and also like a worrying case to his opponents as they may think that the Eu may want to back him for his presidential race in 2027.
Recently, his former spoke man in Labour party Kenneth Okonkwo said a vote for Peter obi is like a vote for tinubu. with the EU parliament event it shows Obi is ready for the 2027 presidential race and may not be willing to back down for ATIKU OR TINUBU.
