Funke Akindele has partnered with Facebook for her upcoming film, The Four: No One Fights Alone, introducing a new promotional collaboration ahead of the movie’s December 2026 cinema release.
The Nollywood actress and filmmaker announced the Funke Akindele-Facebook partnership on Thursday, October 29, through a post on her verified Instagram page, describing it as an opportunity to take the film to a wider audience.
The collaboration will give fans access to exclusive content surrounding the production, including behind-the-scenes moments, preparations for the premieres and appearances from the film’s promotional activities.
It will also support the movie’s planned London and Lagos premieres, bringing together filmmakers, content creators, celebrities and audiences to celebrate Nigerian storytelling.
Funke Akindele Announces Facebook Partnership

Announcing the collaboration, Akindele expressed excitement about working with Facebook and acknowledged the support her audience has given her throughout her filmmaking career.
“We’re taking THE FOUR to the world, and @Facebook is coming with us!” she wrote.
She further described the partnership as an important development in her journey, expressing appreciation to fans who have continued to support her stories over the years.
“I’m so excited to announce my partnership with Facebook for THE FOUR: NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE! The love you’ve shown me and my stories over the years has brought us this far. Now, let’s make this next chapter one to remember!” she added.
The actress also assured followers that they would have access to different aspects of the film’s promotional journey rather than only seeing the finished production.
“The preparations, premiere looks, behind-the-scenes moments and all the gist? You know I won’t leave you out!” she stated.
She subsequently directed fans to three Facebook pages: FUNKE AKINDELE, OFFICIAL FUNKE AKINDELE and FAANTV, where exclusive moments and updates about the project will be shared.
What Facebook’s Partnership With Funke Akindele Involves

Beyond the announcement, the collaboration has a wider focus on promoting African entertainment and connecting Nigerian filmmakers with audiences beyond their immediate fan base.
The partnership will support the London world premiere and Lagos homecoming premiere of The Four: No One Fights Alone.
According to Meta’s Head of Communications for Sub-Saharan Africa, Oluwasola Obagbemi, the collaboration reflects Facebook’s role in helping creators build communities and connect with audiences through their content.
“Facebook has always been about connecting people, and our partnership with Funke Akindele brings that to life through film,” Obagbemi said.
He explained that the platform provides opportunities for creators to reach international audiences, develop meaningful relationships with their followers and earn from their original content.
Another aspect of the collaboration will involve Nigerian content creators based both within the country and in the diaspora.
A creator-hosted space at the premieres will provide opportunities to produce social media content, highlighting how creators use Facebook to engage younger audiences and share Nigerian stories and culture with people around the world.
This means the collaboration will extend beyond promoting the film itself to showcasing the people and creative communities contributing to the growth of African entertainment.

Following The Success Of Behind The Scenes

The upcoming release comes after the commercial success of Akindele’s previous cinema production, Behind The Scenes, which grossed more than ₦2.7 billion at the box office.
The performance further strengthened the filmmaker’s position in Nigeria’s cinema industry and raised expectations surrounding her next major release.
With The Four: No One Fights Alone, Akindele is preparing another major cinema outing while exploring additional ways to connect audiences with her productions.
The Facebook partnership adds a digital dimension to that effort, allowing fans to follow the film’s journey through its preparations, premiere appearances and exclusive content.
As the December 11 release date approaches, audiences can expect more updates through the filmmaker’s official Facebook pages and the activities surrounding the film’s London and Lagos premieres.
Akindele ended her partnership announcement with a line that also serves as the movie’s central tagline: “No one fights alone, and I’m taking you with me!”
